Bar 6 Diamond Ranch Livestock

We were looking for a variety to have on our Ranch located in the South East Kansas - we wanted to offer different kinds of goats and sheep. In looking at a meat breed, we fell liked the ability of the Spanish breed to forage and what we read a bout their higher parasite resistance. They have proven to live up to what we were looking for and are excellent foragers and strong mothers. We are working with the  crossbreds Spanish type. Our first buck was a Kiko Spanish then we used a Savannah Spanish, we have come to realize we like this cross with a high Spanish influence. With the sheep we have come to like the Dorper cross for the same reasons.

With the fiber In looking at a fiber breed, we fell in love with the beautiful South African White and Colored Angora Goat.  We found the South African White and Colored Angoras has very soft fiber - great for spinners - and wonderful personalities. So we still will have quality raw Mohair in a variety of Colors. With the sheep We so loved the heritage breeds, that we selected the breeds that each bring something special, not only their phenomenally beautiful fleece with locks or crimp, but with strong mothering instincts that gives them the ability to birth unassisted, multi birth lambing and the milk to support them and lambs that grow strong. Looking for these characteristics we selected for our farm 3 wonderful breeds for fiber, the beautiful Finn Sheep, the awesome Shetland Sheep and the wonderful Wensleydale Sheep, this is the cross we offer fleeces to spin with.

The Mohair and sheep fleeces can be purchased by the pound, or whole. We offer a wide variety of colors in both the sheep fleeces and the mohair.
We are hoping to get our shop up and going soon and Etsy as time allows. You can still  just email us here to see what we have available. With the mohair and fleeces; it depends on the color etc as our natural colored angoras produce fleeces in a wide range of colors and patterns including black, silver, gray, brown, red, copper, apricot, and cream;.

Our mohair is suitable for spinning, reborn doll hair, santa beards, and a wide range of fiber crafting.

We occasionally have some limited adults and kids/lambs for sale so don't hesitate to email for information with what you are looking for.

Below is a sample of our herd that we have had over the few years on our farm.
